At first we arrived at the occidental grand aruba, we were very disappointed and not pleased with the service and staff. we dicided to switch to the Hyatt; wow, what a different world. can't even comapre the two. the Hyatt is so beautiful! the room was perfect. we spotted a huge roach on the cutains. we have no idea where it came from. housekeeping came right away and took care of it. the manager gave us a credit for the inconvenience and was very apologetic. the staff looked like like they were happy to be there as well, which is important. the food was great, but wayyyyy overpriced. a baked potato is $*. the breakfast buffet was well worth the price. there are many restaurants across the street if you want to save money. the watewr slide was a lot of fun. this hotel doesn't have much entertainment though. they do, however, have a nice casino. I would definitely go back to the hyatt regency

My husband and I wanted a quiet and relaxing vacation. The Hyatt Regency Aruba was perfect. The room was overlooking the ocean, clean and comfortable. The grounds breathtaking. We paid a little extra for the full breakfast but it was worth it. The waitstaff couldn't do enough for you. One of the best vacations we have ever had!

Highly recommend this hotel. Beautiful resort!. Colorful birds, lagoon area by restaurant where fishes, Iguanas & turtles hang around. Grounds are huge & so tropical, you really feel like you got away. Balcony is small with no chairs but who has time to sit in the balcony w/ beautiful beaches right underneth. Small balcony is just right enough for you to stand & look out the nice hotel grounds & wonderful beach & turquoise water. I don't think you need to spend extra money for oceanfront room. I was on the high floor & had pool & ocean view which was pretty enough. Now I agree w/ all the reviewers that the hut situation is RIDICULOUS. I can't believe the management allow people to reserve the hut by leaving just the towel & nothing else. People leave towels by the prime spot hut & others can't enjoy. I've seen these reserved huts w/ towel unoccupied for hours!! You can still get good enough huts so not a HUGE problem, it's just annoying for people to be so selfish. Beach is wonderful, water is calm enough to play for hours & good for swimming. Water color is exiquisite! Can sit & look at it for hours. Very short walk to shops & many restaurants & minimarts. Hotel restaurant was VERY expensive. Breakfast was included on my package & thank God as this was also expensive, but was delicious, breakfast buffet was very good. Hotel staff couldn't be any friendlier. Bus for $* in front of hotel will take you to downtown for shopping. Location of Hyatt on palm beach was very central. Overall, palm beach Aruba was wonderful to relax in & this hotel is just very high end experience, can't say enough.

The hotel is beautiful and tropic! They have an awesome open air lobby that is a great place to relax in the evening. They also have fun nightly music and happy hour at an outside bar. You can feel like a kid again on the waterslide and swim-up restaurant in the pool. The views are amazing from every angle and the asian restaurant with the black swans swimming around you is very romantic. We stayed a week on our honeymoon. The staff was the best I have ever experienced at a hotel!!!!!! I even designed a guest room at our house to look like our room at the hyatt....very relaxing! Wish I could live there!

We loved this hotel!!! We have also stayed at the Radisson and liked the Hyatt better. We had an ocean view room which was big and roomy, had a wonderfully comfortable bed and nice bathroom. It had a huge shower (no tub), but we liked it just as well. The property is laid out very conveniently and has a gorgeous pool area with a nice juice bar, beachside bar with good food and drinks and very nice people. Has two pairs of black swans and numerous parrots who can talk!! Great restaurants, beach, and casino. We don't have a bad thing to say at all!!! We'll stay here every time we visit Aruba!!!i
