This hotel is on beautiful grounds overlooking the ocean with a gorgeous beach. There is a very convenient trolley system to take you to the beach and all the restaurants. The ferry also takes you into Hamilton. The room was very clean and spacious. The hotel had many restaurants with delicious foods and great wait staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful stay.

Huge convention hotel that has seen better days. Rooms are nice, although they contain 19" tube televisions from the 1980's. Hallways are loud and full of energetic kids and conventioneers. On two of our four nights, we spotted a rat on the terrace outside the ballroom - not something one expects to see at a 5 star resort. Staff was ambivalent about the rat problem - apparently they've seen it all before. Hotel pool is dismal, dirty, and small - in a walled area lacking breeze or views. Access to pool is through a dark and unkept hallway that passes by the kitchen. Beach is very nice and just a short shuttle ride from the hotel. Maybe a 3 star hotel, but certainly not five. If you're traveling with a cat who likes rats and you're not fond of service or cleanliness, this is the place for you.

My husband and I recently went to Bermuda for 5 days during spring break. We stayed at the Fairmont Southampton and upgraded to the Gold Floor. The exceptional treatment exceeded out expectations. The hotel really made our vacation. The concierge staff on the Gold floor were always helpful and pleasant and seemed really interested in trying to make your stay the best. We had breakfast as well as h'orderves every day. We even took one day at the spa which was awesome. The only negative was the TV reception but who's in Bermuda to watch TV. We would love to return to Bermuda in the future and stay again at the Fairmont Southampton.

Beautiful hotel, very luxurious but you might want to call down and ask what is open. We arrived for spring break vacation and found that only 3 out of the 7 restaurants were open, and one was outrageously expensive ( the steak house), one was off the lobby, mostly for large families, so we ate all our evening meals at the Bacci which was a great restaurant. But thinking we were going to have a choice of 7 restaurants to chose from, this was a bit disappointing. Also, be aware that breakfasts cost a fortune, unless you plan to stock up the mini refrigerator in room with light breakfast fare. Also, while they advertise 2 pools, the indoor pool only becomes available to hotel guests at 6:30 pm unless you make use of spa facilities. Since weather is temperamental in spring, it left us with no swimming unless it turned sunny, or we were willing to spend a lot more for the spa pool. People were very friendly and we had a great time.
